How is working with a coach different?

Health coaching is all about empowering individuals to recognize and activate the innate resources and strengths they already possess. We help you clarify and connect with a vision of wholeness and well-being—the seeds of resilience and vitality that lie within each one of us. With support, guidance, and accountability from someone who understands the healing journey, these inner capacities can begin to take root and flourish.

We often underestimate or overlook the simple practices—such as nervous system regulation and brain retraining—that have the power to create profound change in our bodies’ operating systems. A mentor or coach can provide invaluable support in navigating the complexities of a new diagnosis or the hardship of a long-term illness, the bleeding of lines between pain in the body and what we hold emotionally, alongside things like a healthy diet and movement.

When I reflect on the major turning points in my own health journey, I see they were all self-initiated and came from honoring my own intuition and impulses. For years, I wished someone else could just "fix" my health (and me), and I was willing to pay or do anything for that.

Yet, much of the time when we are told what to do, there’s a lot of resistance or it doesn’t work with our lives or bodies. Coaching is different because it takes into account your unique story, rhythms, and needs. It takes into account that healing in non-linear and life is always shifting and rebalancing. If a one-size-fits-all approach hasn’t been effective, let’s dig down and figure out what might feel and work better for you.
